We’ve had a busy quarter here at Open Pharma, with great topic meetings on navigating the use of artificial intelligence in publications and on the role of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) in enabling open science.
In April, we published an article in The MAP Newsletter about demystifying creative commons licences for industry-funded research and a blog post on our own blog about transparency in real-world evidence.
The Annual Meeting of the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) took place from 29 April to 1 May, where we presented two roundtable sessions on data sharing and open access and a poster on our data sharing survey results. We followed up the ISMPP meeting with our own hybrid meeting in New York, NY, where we discussed Open Pharma’s mission and priorities for the coming year.
May also saw our very own Chris Winchester speak at a Friends of the NLM webinar about methods for improving the reproducibility of biomedical research as well as a guest blog post on our blog by Becky Upton about how the Pistoia Alliance is supporting reproducibility and methods consistency.
We’re looking forward to keeping up the momentum with more great topic meetings next quarter on the Healthcare Information For All–World Health Organization collaboration and on what happens to your paper after you submit it to a journal.
