Open Pharma is delighted to be hosting two roundtables at the 2024 European Meeting of the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) on Tuesday 23 January. Around these discussions, we will be sharing a range of educational materials developed for the 2023 Open Pharma summit on our YouTube and social media channels.
Under the title of Innovation: the new tradition, the 2024 European Meeting of ISMPP promises to explore how novelty can build on heritage to bring about change in the medical publishing industry. The theme of innovation is embedded in the very DNA of Open Pharma and is integral to the aim of increasing transparency and access to pharma research outputs.
Through the Open Pharma roundtables – titled Where are the data? A shared view on data sharing and The rapidly changing face of open access – we aim to facilitate meaningful conversations between a range of stakeholders about the latest developments, challenges and opportunities in data sharing and open access.
In November 2023, Members and Supporters of Open Pharma explored these themes at the Open Pharma summit. The three summit sessions featured short guest presentations from expert speakers, including representatives from patient organizations, publishers and pharma companies. These thought leaders provided valuable insights about how pharma can continue to innovate towards a future in which open science is standard.
