We’ve had a great quarter here at Open Pharma, with successful presentations at congresses, webinars and workshops, as well as the launch of some exciting new projects.
In April, we launched our open access benchmarking tool. This free-to-view, online tool reports the open access rates, types and licences of peer-reviewed medical publications by authors affiliated to pharma companies and universities.
To coincide with the release of the benchmarking tool, we presented a poster about the tool at the 19th Annual Meeting of the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals. We also hosted our roundtable session titled Much ado about access at the same meeting.
April also saw the launch of our data sharing needs assessment survey, which closed in May after receiving over 100 responses. Watch this space to find out what we learned about the journal data sharing requirements of pharma-sponsored research publications!
In June, some of our Members presented at a Friends of the National Library of Medicine webinar titled Public access to health information: providing trusted information to all. You can catch up on the webinar for free here!
